Your Mercedes-Benz car is equipped with the Active Service System Plus (ASSYST PLUS). ASSYST PLUS is responsible for calculating one service date for all your vehicle’s maintenance requirements.
Approximately one month or 1,000 km before the next service is due, one of the following messages will automatically appear in the multi-function display, when the ignition is switched on or when you are driving the vehicle:
- Service A in xxx days
- Service A in xxx km
- Carry out Service
The type of service due will be displayed in the multi-function display: from A (minor service) to H (major service)
The extra “+” following the service type indicates the degree of wear of the brake pads. The brake pads will reach their wear limit before the next service is due.
The time between individual services depends on your driving style. So, a moderate style of driving at medium engine speeds and voiding short trips will increase this time and vice versa.
If you have missed the service due date, the following messages will appear in the multi-function display:
- Service A exceeded by xxx days
- Service A exceeded by xxx km
The Mercedes-Benz authorized service dealers will reset the service indicator after the service work has been carried out.
Note:
Failure to have the service performed by the specified date may invalidate warranty and warranty goodwill.
In order to calling up, resetting the service indicator and setting the due date, please see E-Class (E240-W211) owner’s manual (pages from 309 to 312)
