Mercedes Driving Experience 2009

HCMC – 9 Feb 2009 – Get ready for real driving excitement!

This is not a normal test drive at all. It’s the special half-day training program with simulations for you to enhance your driving skills and to cope with dangerous situations more effectively. All over the world, customers come home with lots of fun and much more confidence.

In half a day you will learn from the best trainers - Peter Hackett, ex-racedriver, the international expert from Mercedes-Benz Motor-sport and his teammates, on how to best use the advanced technologies on Mercedes-Benz cars, including ESP, PRE-SAFE, ABS and BAS.

The participants will also understand how the vehicle responds in such situations as: changing lanes at high speed on a very slippery road surface, driving in a zigzag format at high-speed without braking, or braking very hard and steering to avoid obstacles at 80km/h….
To ensure all participants can improve after the program, the Mercedes-Benz instructors will coach each participant with helpful comments during they’re driving.

The program, globally known as Mercedes-Benz Driving Experience, takes place from Tuesday 3/3 to Sunday 8/3 at the Tan Son Nhat Airport and is expected to attract over 400 participants.

Last year in October 2008, the same program in My Dinh Stadium, Hanoi has stunned around 400 participants with fun and pure excitement.

This year, Mercedes-Benz Vietnam hopes to do the same with HCMC customers, who can experience the full-range of cars, including S-class, R-class, M-class, GL-class and CLS-class, besides the popular C-class and E-class 2009.
To make the program even more excited, there is a contest for all participants, in which the Grand Prix is 2 tickets with hotel and flight to the Formula 1 Malaysia 2009, a sponsored package worth USD5,000.

The registration fee, which has been subsidized by Mercedes-Benz Vietnam, is only 300 USD/person. In Europe, participants normally pay more than 2,000 euro for participation in this famous program.
